Night Lights is sold out for 2019, selling out in record time from Oct. 15 to Nov. 21. We’re very grateful so many of you have chosen to include us in your holiday season plans. If you were unable to secure tickets, please visit us during the day for our Winter Wonderland festivities.

Night Lights is our largest annual event and is crucial in supporting our nonprofit organization’s year-round efforts to improve people’s lives through plants. We couldn’t do it without you!

Our parking and facilities are limited and we offer as many tickets as possible until we reach capacity. We are unable to add more tickets to this event and visitors must have tickets to enter the property after 4pm in December. We are committed to offering a safe and joyful experience for our visitors.

Guests should expect a walking experience outdoors through roughly 15 acres of formal gardens and surrounding woodlands, including illuminated plants, paths, sculptures, and fountains. The magical scene is enhanced with fire pits for warming up, making s’mores, or enjoying a cup of hot cocoa or an adult beverage. Visits usually last between one and three hours.

Inside, visitors can step out of the elements to investigate our model train village, explore our indoor garden conservatories, enjoy freshly prepared fare at our Café, and peruse our specialty-curated Garden Shop for one-of-a-kind, nature-themed finds.

Tower Hill is open for evening Night Lights visits daily beginning at 4 p.m. The garden will close one and one half hours after the last ticket time each evening at 9:30 p.m. or 10:30 p.m. Pre-purchased tickets are required for evening admission. Tickets are not available at the gate.

Tower Hill is closed on December 24th and December 31st.

The indoor facilities are all accessible. This includes the Orangerie and Limonaia conservatories, the café, concession area and decorated indoor spaces. We have several wheelchairs available to borrow on a first come, first served basis. There are outdoor lighted gardens which are accessible in clear weather but which may be challenging in rainy, icy or snowy weather. These include the Court: A Garden Within Reach, the Lawn Garden, the Winter Garden, the Entry Garden and the Systematic Garden. Jogging style strollers work best for our garden paths and trails. Because this is a rain, star shine, or snow event, we advise caution when navigating potentially icy outdoor spaces. All visitors should wear sturdy footwear and be dressed for the elements.

Dogs are welcome to walk our trails between 10am and 3pm during Winter Wonderland. However, we anticipate large numbers of visitors on the property for Night Lights. For the safety and security of our guests, and the dogs who love to visit us, we do not allow dogs to visit Tower Hill during Night Lights (4pm onwards) from November 29, 2019 to January 31, 2020. Service dogs are always welcome.

The time on your ticket is when you should plan to drive onto Tower Hill property. Visitor tickets will be checked from your car at the gate before you are directed to the parking lot. Please plan accordingly as Tower Hill cannot accommodate early arrivals or those waiting for the rest of their party to arrive. Those arriving more than 30 minutes late may forfeit entry.  No tickets will be available to purchase at the gate.

For evening tickets, to speed up entry, we ask that you print your tickets and have them ready to hand to our staff when you drive onto our property. Your tickets will be scanned from your car as you enter the property before our staff members direct you to a parking space. If you are unable to print your tickets you may present the PDF of your tickets on your smartphone so long as we are able to scan the barcode. If you are unable to print your tickets and do not have a smartphone, we can always look up your tickets, but this is a slower option.

Farmer and the Fork café will offer seasonally inspired cuisine from 4-8pm during Night Lights with drinks and desserts served until 8:30pm. See the specials menu here. In addition, their concession stand with holiday-themed adult drinks, warm cider donuts, hot chocolate, s’mores supplies for the outdoor fire pit, and other tasty grab and go bites will be open during Night Lights with sales ending a half hour before closing. Seating will be available in the café as well as throughout the indoor facilities. The café does not take reservations.

Night Lights is a rain, snow, or shine by starlight event. Due to the nature of our garden paths, some areas may not be cleared of snow or ice and some activities may be limited on windy days. Please dress appropriately for the elements. If you have purchased tickets for a specific evening and Tower Hill closes that evening due to extreme weather, you will be contacted in advance through the email address that you entered when you purchased your tickets and a refund will be issued. All other tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be used for a different date or time. Our ticketing system, which is critical in controlling the flow of traffic and improving the visitor experience for thousands of guests in a short time span, cannot process individual refunds or changing to a different time slot, much like tickets to a sports event or theater performance. This special event, which occurs outside our regular hours of operation, is crucial in funding the year-round operation of our nonprofit garden. If you cannot attend at the time for which you purchased your tickets, you have several options:

  1. You can give your tickets to another individual(s). Please note that member, child, youth, and senior tickets may only be redeemed for a single ticketed admission of equal or lesser value.
  2. You can choose to return your tickets to Tower Hill as a donation to our nonprofit, receiving a tax-deductible receipt in return. You must email the Advancement office by Dec. 30, 2019, to apply for this option.
  3. Visitors can choose to redeem an unused Night Lights ticket for a single daytime admission of equal or lesser value through Dec. 30, 2019, by showing their unused tickets to the Entry Gate staff. Members can exchange each unused Night Lights ticket to bring a non-member guest during daytime hours until Dec. 30, 2019. For example, an unused member adult ticket can be exchanged for an adult daytime admission, a senior for a senior, etc.

None of these options will result in cash or credit card refunds for unused ticket purchase price.
