Garden Etiquette 2017-09-05T19:26:31+00:00

Tower Hill is a botanic garden, which is a bit different than a park. For that reason, we draw your attention to the guidelines below that will make your visit safe and enjoyable.

Please stay on paths or lawns, and leave trees, plants, flowers, and wildlife undisturbed, so that others may enjoy them, too.

Small groups may enjoy a picnic on the lawns or at a table, but no barbecuing, alcohol, or outside catering, please. Large groups can coordinate a lunch with one of our preferred caterers by calling our Private Events department. Carry out what you carry in, including trash.

Shirt and shoes are required at all times.

Respect the tranquility of our other guests by leaving radios, musical instruments, and equipment for active sports (balls, Frisbees, kites, and bikes) at home.

Please be considerate when using a cell phone.

Smoking is not permitted in the garden.

We encourage photography for personal use. Opportunities for professional and commercial photography, including weddings and portraits, are available by appointment only. Please view information on our photography policy and guidelines or call 508.869.6111 x140 for information.

Dogs are permitted during Tails ‘n Trails hours in designated locations. Trained service dogs are welcome at all times.

The guests are not permitted to release plants, seeds or creatures including butterflies at Tower Hill Botanic Garden. Please see Xeres Society butterfly release policy here.
