Open daily, 11am-3pm (food service ends at 2:30 pm; desserts and beverages are available to purchase until 3 pm).
Farmer and the Fork serves a menu of locally-sourced, healthy, delicious and prepared-to-your-order meals in a fine casual setting.
Our menu changes seasonally to highlight local seasonal ingredients. You will always find a nice variety of delicious and healthy grain bowls, salads, sandwiches and hearty soups on our menu. We also offer popular kids meal options. Join us in the Great Hall or adjoining outdoor patio to enjoy lunch or sip on a glass of wine or local craft beer. No meal would be complete without a tasty house-made dessert from our display case. We happily cater to food allergies and preferences including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. View our menu here.
We use several local farms and suppliers including Flats Mentor Farm (Lancaster, MA), Myers Produce (Hadley, MA), Pioneer Valley Growers Association (Deerfield, MA), Carlson Orchard (Harvard, MA), Smith’s Country Cheese (Winchendon, MA), Wards Berry Farm (Sharon, MA), Eva’s Garden (Dartmouth, MA), Little Leaf Farms (Devens, MA), Hydroponics in the old Fort Devens, Rhode Island Mushroom Company (Kingston, RI), North Country (Claremont, NH), Backyard Farms (Madison, ME), Lioni Latticini Inc. (Union, NJ), Hepworth Farms (Milton, NY), Ronnybrook Dairy Farm (Pine Planes, NY)
Take any of our café meals-to-go and enjoy anywhere on property. Our meals are perfect for a picnic among the gardens on a beautiful spring or summer day. Beverages can also be taken to-go and enjoyed while walking the gardens and trails. Let your server know when ordering that you are taking your meal out to the garden or lawn.
Easter and Mother’s Day
The café will be open normal hours on the weekends of Easter and Mother’s Day (11:00am – 2:30pm for food and 2:30–3:00pm for drinks and desserts). In addition to our current seasonal menu, we will be offering a variety of specials on both Saturday and Sunday. Join us in the café, on the patio overlooking the Wachusett Reservoir (weather dependent) or take your meal to enjoy anywhere on property. No reservations required, it is first come first serve. Stay tuned for our specials menu.
