Docent Walking Tour
Join one of our knowledgeable docents on an informative 30-minute private tour.
Cost: Cost of group rate admission (for 7-10 people) plus our group tour fee (Group tour fee: $50 for up to 9 visitors)

Director’s Golf Cart Tour
Join Director of Horticulture, Mark Richardson on a truly unique one and a half hour, behind-the-scenes, tour chock full of horticultural information and tips. You will explore the formal gardens, The Inner Park, The Wildlife Garden, and moss steps. Mark will discuss the plant collections, answer your burning horticultural questions, and teach you how to choose the best plants for your garden.
Cost: Member $300; Non-member $300 plus the cost of admission
Availability: Our golf cart can accommodate up to 5 people and tours are available to book in advance on weekdays only.

Self-Guided Visit
Bring your group to Tower Hill and use our colorful Garden maps and signage to tour our gorgeous conservatories and grounds on your own.
Cost: Cost of group rate admission for 7-10 people
Availability: During regular Garden hours upon prior arrangement

Enhance your Tower Hill group visit with a hands-on program!
Led by Tower Hill staff for groups of 9 or less. Workshops will be held outdoors in our tented classroom.
Whether you’re coming as part of a team-building experience, garden group, birthday party, or council on aging tour you can enhance your visit by adding one of our staff-led programs to your itinerary. Design a low-maintenance terrarium embellished with sand, stones, and other decorative items, while learning about succulents and their care. The 4.8-inch diameter glass bowl is ideal for a sunny windowsill or tabletop. The workshop will be held outdoors in our tented classroom.

Fresh herbs, leaves, and inks will be used to create botanical printed artwork or notecards.

Hand-sew a soft cover book and learn artists’ drawing and painting techniques for journal keeping.

Learn how to identify native trees with or without their leaves. Hands-on practice outdoors can be incorporated when appropriate.

Payment must be made one week in advance of your visit.

The Farmer and the Fork Café is currently closed, however your tour group members are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs and lunches to enjoy outside in the gardens.

Fee-Based Class Visits
Fee-based classes (non-Tower Hill classes charging a fee) seeking to visit the Garden will be charged a rental fee and must be submitted in advance to the Private Events Department for approval by Tower Hill Botanic Garden.

Tours are held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather we will reschedule your tour, however tour refunds are not available.

Best Time to Visit
In spring enjoy warm weather and thousands of beautiful blooming bulbs including tender perennials daffodils, and tulips. In the summertime enjoy our collection of lilies, daylilies, vegetable garden, and more. The fall welcomes colorful New England foliage outside and vibrant conservatories inside. In the winter get out of the cold and enjoy out subtropical conservatories featuring citrus tree collections.
