This #GivingTuesday help Tower Hill help others

Entering its sixth year, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Tower Hill has participated for all previous years and is eagerly participating in its sixth year. Today we ask you to join us for one day of giving – #GivingTuesday. Join the movement and give – whether it’s a monetary donation or the gift of the power of your voice on social media. It’s a simple and effective way to give back to your community.

Donations during #Giving Tuesday support all of the many ways Tower Hill Gives back to our community. One especially important effort is our work to make sure that anyone – no matter their age, ability, or income – has the opportunity to experience Tower Hill or join in one of our many programs. We’re proud to share that, by year’s end, we will have offered more than 200 free programs to over 10,000 people. What’s more, by offering discounted admission to eligible visitors through the state’s Electronic Transfer Benefits (EBT) program, we are removing financial barriers to access the gardens – and the extraordinary benefits of nature – every day.

Welcoming more people to Tower Hill is only one part of fulfilling our mission, however. Just as important – and exciting – is our work to reach into communities and bring nature to people where they live. That’s why we have formed a strategic partnership with the Worcester Tree Initiative. Just like us, they believe cities need forests, because people need forests. They are dedicated not only to replanting local neighborhoods that lost trees to the Asian Longhorned Beetle, but to engaging community members, especially youth, in the ongoing care of the city’s revitalized urban forest. The results are going to be a Worcester even more green and verdant than before the devastating beetle infestation.

Our outreach has also extended to the Worcester Refugee Assistance Project (WRAP). This grassroots program helps local refugees from Burma achieve sustainable self‐reliance through mentoring, advocacy, and other support. Our staff has been honored to work with WRAP’s youth groups doing art projects and activities in the garden and in their neighborhoods to help these families gain a better sense of place in their new home.

Your Donation TODAY allows us to continue supporting our garden and community, in particular these essential programs. Give today and JOIN THE MOVEMENT!
