Trustees Plan Gala Celebration in Tribute to John W. Trexler's 25 Years of Service to WCHS The year 2009 marks the 25th year of John W. Trexlers tenure as Executive Director of the Worcester County Horticultural Society. Trustees, staff, and the greater Worcester Community will be honoring his achievements with two special events: a gala Trexler Tribute dinner on Saturday, September 19th, and a Directors Open House on Sunday, September 20th. The Trexler Tribute dinner will acknowledge Johns wide-ranging interests with an international theme and menu by Peppers Fine Foods Catering. Tickets are $250 per person. Proceeds will endow the Directors Chair at Tower Hill, ensuring the ongoing level of excellence this crucial position requires. The Directors Open House will showcase every aspect of Tower Hill, with fun activities for all ages, tours, demos on organic gardening and Slow Food cooking, wildlife exhibits, videos, and a tree dedication. The event is free and open to the public.
