Are you still getting to know your digital camera and its features? Here's an opportunity to learn from an expert in this seminar for beginners. Bring your camera and learn when and how to use all of its special features. We will also cover basic composition and best use of light for different situations, such as plant, people, macro, and landscape photography. Simple techniques in herbal extraction and distillation, 1:30-4pm
Member $30, Nonmember $35    
Learn how to create tinctures made from fresh or dry botanicals. This class will use the simple "folk" method and more advanced preparation techniques and record-keeping.  Using spirit distillation, the class will extract the vital elements from a tincture. Samples provided.

The mission of Tower Hill Botanic Garden is to "advance the science and encourage and improve the practice of horticulture." From gardening practices to nature study and everything in between--Tower Hill Botanic Garden offers a full range of classes to fulfill that mission.

• The Garden offers weekend, evening, and weekday classes and programs year-round!

• Classes generally take place in our Stoddard Education and Visitors Center or the Farmhouse; occasionally classes are offered off-site as tours or collaborative programs with other institutions.

Registration for most programs is required (unless otherwise indicated).

• Online -- by far the fastest and most secure method; upon your registration and payment with a credit card you will receive an email confirmation of your order.
