Member: $4 per session or $25 for 7 sessions, Nonmember: $8 per session or $50 for 7 sessions, includes cost of admission per child

In this program children will learn about how to care for plants through stories, crafts, games and hands on time helping in the garden. Each week will build on itself, but families are welcome to drop in and join throughout the summer.

Ages 7-9

Join us for hands on time in the youth garden learning about the plants that grow there and how to care for plants at home. Activities will vary week to week depending on what needs to be done, but will include simple tasks such as weeding, watering and planting. We will also harvest vegetables that we grow, and eat the produce from the garden.

Appropriate for children 6 +

Learn about cooking fresh recipes from the garden.

Tower Hill invites Girl and Boy Scout troops of all ages for a day of fun before the new school year begins! Kick off the year by learning about troop programs at Tower Hill and enjoy free activities including: self-guided scavenger hunts, drop-in nature crafts and Storytime in the Gardens at noon. Picnics welcome!

Join us for an exciting evening in the garden and enjoy the full moon light. We’ll start with a story and learn all about the night sky, then we’ll venture out into the dark to learn about nocturnal animals and listen to the sounds of the night garden!

A hands-on workshop for children, 5 years and older, to make a miniature dish garden for their favorite fairy, princess, dragon, dinosaur or other magical friend. All materials will be provided. Children can also bring their own miniature friend from home. Registration is required. Workshop is limited to 10. Materials fee $8.

Families are invited to join us for Wild Rumpus Day! Inspired by The Wild Rumpus: A Stickworks Sculpture, all youths 18 and under that come dressed in a Where the Wild Things Are themed costume will receive free admission for the day. The celebration will feature drop-in crafts from 10-12:30 and then a Wild Rumpus parade at 12:30. We will walk to the Stickworks Sculpture for a group reading of the book.
