Tower Hill Library’s 5th annual Gardening Book Swap takes place on Plant Sale Saturday (May 21st) in the Limonaia from 9 to 3 pm. “Bring Some, Take Some” is our motto and our goal is to find new homes for as many good, used gardening books as we possibly can. As last year, we’ll share the Limonaia with The Garden Shop’s Annual Clearance Sale so once your plant purchases are complete outside, come inside The Stoddard Center for more great deals.
The Gardening Book Swap is a very laissez faire operation — you’re welcome to bring gently used books on gardening and nature to swap but you may also just bring or just take books. The important thing is you find books you can use — or get rid of books or magazines you no longer need.
Please be sure all donated books are in good condition and have not been stored in a damp basement or garage. If you have more than a few books to donate, please arrange to bring them before the swap. Call (508-869-6111 x116) or email Kathy Bell to schedule a drop-off or for more information about donations and/or the Gardening Book Swap.
This year, in addition to the hundreds of books on all aspects of gardening, plants, trees, and other related topics we’ll have to swap, we’ll offer an assortment of photographic prints(some by Daniel Farber) for sale. We also will raffle several more valuable, reference-type books at $2 a ticket or 3 for $5. All proceeds benefit the Tower Hill Library.
